When I first came to Anthony, all I had was a story and a few bottles of moonshine. After we talked and I told him about my business and the story the name was based around, Anthony got right to work. He made his thought process very clear with every graphic he made, and was quick to give me updates along the way. There's a lot that goes into creating a brand from scratch and Anthony made this process smooth and simple. In the end, I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out! As I grow my business and create more products, I am happy to have Ant by my side because I know he will always do an amazing job.
Pearlhead Distilling
Pearlhead Distilling is a distillery based in the Hudson Valley, New York. Dan, the owner, approached me with an idea that captures his love for distilling, and the alien based lore surrounding the Hudson Valley. He wanted a strong brand that leans into the UFO mysteries surrounding the area and tells his Grandmother’s story with her interactions with these extraterrestrials.
The logo was created based on a UFO that many residents claimed to witness. It was nicknamed the “Boomerang” based on its triangular, boomerang-like shape. He wanted the brand to follow suit with a dark, grungy, mysterious tone.

When coming up with this logo I wanted to learn more about the UFO events that took place around the Hudson Valley, New York. I found a couple of popular books on the subject and scoured the internet to learn more.
I read a bunch of declassified UFO documents and looked at sketches and renderings of these phenomenons. I wanted the logo to have that grungy scanned paper look and feel to match these documents.
